Planning

How does the app choose my meals?

It only considers recipes that fit your food rules, allergies, equipment, skill level and the time you have each day. From those it picks the combination that best matches what you said you fancy, uses up what’s in your cupboard, shares fresh ingredients between meals so less is wasted, stays within your budget and gets close to any macro targets. Tap Shuffle for a different week, or Swap on any meal.

How do I change who’s eating, or switch lunches and breakfasts on?

Your usual pattern lives in Preferences › Meals & diners. For a one-off week, open the weekly check-in (Plan › Re-plan) and change “Who’s eating?”. Set a meal to 0 on a night you’re out.

What are leftover lunches?

When lunch is switched on and the previous night’s dinner keeps well, the app cooks extra portions at dinner instead of planning a separate lunch. You can turn this off in Preferences › Budget & waste.

Can I choose the meals myself instead of letting the app plan?

Yes. Tap “Build it myself” on the Plan tab (or “Pick meals myself” once the week already has a plan). Every slot in your week is listed, and tapping one opens the recipes that fit your household, with chips and a search to narrow them. Fill as many as you like and tap “Fill the rest for me” to let the app finish the gaps around your choices — they are pinned, so a later Shuffle or Re-plan leaves them alone. The running cost updates as you pick.

Can I cook something ahead and reheat it later in the week?

Not as a planned night yet, but plenty of the recipes keep well. When you choose meals yourself on the Plan tab, tap a slot and use the “Make ahead” chip to see the dishes that do.

Where are the longer weekend recipes?

When you choose meals yourself on the Plan tab, tap a dinner and use the “Weekend showstoppers” chip: bigger projects for when you have an afternoon rather than half an hour, like a slow-roast shoulder, a hand-rolled pasta or a whole roast bird.

Importing recipes

How do I save a recipe from Instagram or TikTok?

In Instagram or TikTok tap Share, then choose SupperClub (you may need to tap “More” the first time and add it). Open SupperClub Planner and the recipe will be waiting to review. You can also copy the link and use Recipes › Add a recipe.

It says the post didn’t share its caption, or no recipe was found.

Some posts only show or speak the recipe in the video, or put it in the comments. Take a screenshot of the recipe and use Add a recipe › Scan a photo, or copy the caption in the app (••• › Copy) and use Paste text. You can always finish it off by hand on the review screen.

What is Smart import?

An optional helper for messy captions. It sends only the recipe text and its link to our server, where an AI model tidies it into ingredients and steps. It is off until you allow it and can be switched off in Preferences › Privacy & data. See the privacy policy.

Why are some ingredients marked “check this”?

The app shows how confident it is about every imported line so nothing is dropped silently. Tap a line to fix the quantity or match it to a shopping ingredient.

Shopping

Can the app order my shopping for me?

No. SupperClub Planner prices your list, rounds it to real pack sizes and organises it — by aisle, or meal by meal — so it is quick to work through in any shop. It does not place orders, fill baskets or connect to a grocery shop. When you want someone else to pick things up, tap “Share list” and send it by WhatsApp, Messages, email or anything else on the share sheet.

Can I see the list by recipe instead of by aisle?

Yes. Tap “By recipe” at the top of the Shop tab and the same list is grouped under each meal, with the amount that meal needs. Ticking an ingredient ticks it everywhere it is used, and shared ingredients say which other meal they are also for.

Are the prices exact?

No — they are estimates based on typical UAE supermarket prices, so the budget is a guide. Enter what you actually spent when you finish the shop.

What happens when I tap “Finished shopping”?

Everything on the list goes into your Cupboard with a use-by estimate. As you cook, ingredients are used up, and whatever is left is planned into next week first.

Cooking

The oven temperatures look different from the recipe.

Choose your oven type (fan, conventional or gas) and °C/°F in Preferences › Cooking. Cook mode converts every temperature for your oven.

Will timers still go off if I leave the app?

Yes, if you allow notifications when first asked. You can change this in the Settings app › Notifications › SupperClub.

Supper Clubs

How do I invite friends?

Clubs › your club › Invite. Share the six-character code; friends enter it under “Join with a code”.

How is the cost split?

Shares are weighted by how many people each member is feeding. Enter what you each spent and the app works out the fewest payments to settle up. Payments themselves happen outside the app.

How do I report or block someone, or delete my account?

Tap the ••• next to a member to report or block them. To delete your Supper Clubs account, open the Clubs tab, tap the account icon and choose “Delete my Supper Clubs account”. Clubs you started pass to their longest-standing member (a club is deleted only if you are the last one in it), and weeks you shared stay with the club. The privacy policy lists exactly what is removed.

What are the Supper Clubs rules?

No offensive names or content, no harassment, and only share what you are happy for the whole club to see. You agree to them before starting or joining a club. Read the Supper Clubs rules in full.

I entered the wrong invite code a few times and now I can’t join.

After ten wrong codes in an hour the app asks you to wait, so that codes cannot be guessed. Check the code with your friend and try again an hour later.

Your data

How do I get a copy of my data?

Preferences › Privacy & data › Export my data saves everything the app holds on your device as a JSON file you can keep anywhere. The app cannot yet load this file back in, so it is a copy for your records, not a way to move to a new phone or to undo “Erase everything”.

What does “Erase everything” remove?

Everything the app keeps on the device: your preferences, plans, lists, cupboard and saved recipes, links waiting to be imported and saved preview pictures. It also signs the device out of Supper Clubs. It does not delete a Supper Clubs account from our server — do that first from the Clubs tab if you want it gone.
